Hello Irakli ，

Hello Irakli,

As far as I know, as to the Client Application(WinForm, MFC, WPF), we already have the powerful COM interop mechanism to automate the Office application. Actually, in the passed days, COM is only way to automate Office application and it is recommended only for client use, not server-side un-attented document manipulation. The Word Automation Service is introduced in Sharedpoint 2010 to make up lacking of a common server-side document manipulation way. That is why WAS will not be standalone library for client applications.
