According to your description, I think you have misunderstood two concepts.

Second: please refer to the following screenshot, I think you could understand it. When we download the test agent for VS2013 update5, it indicates that it supports 1GB of RAM for x86 and 2GB of RAM for x64, so this application support x64 and x86. But we do not know which bit for the application itself, in my side, QTController also run 32 bit in Task Manager, because Agents is 32bit but it could run against 64bit OS.
