Our site has a list with latitude and longitude fields. From what I have been told by users, these are populated as each list item is saved, presumably using address fields which are also part of the list.
That feature has stopped working. I have scrutinized the field definitions, and see nothing that seems related to that. I have looked at the New Item form in InfoPath, and see nothing there in the way of rules. I have also looked at the list in SharePoint Designer, and it appears to use the stock NewForm.aspx and EditForm.aspx forms. I don't see a Content Editor Web Part or any sign of JavaScript which might be involved, but I'm certainly no expert on customizing these forms.
I would very much appreciate any avenues of inquiry I might pursue to get to the bottom of how this is supposed to work.

As you know, SharePoint 2010 does not have built-in data types for latitude/longitude pairs, therefore you should either have installed a custom solution or written custom code (an in the example that you can see here). Do you know anything more about these two possibilities?
The first, obvious step tp take is checking both the "Application" log in the Windows Event Viewer of each SharePoint server, as well as examining the ULS logs trying to find any information that could be related to this problem.Bye.
