I've downloaded a news ticker for my Sharepoint page. I followed an instructional video on YouTube on how to download it and set it up. Yet even after following the instructions, I'm missing one point - when I edit the web part, I don't get an option of "app settings." I need this section in order to add my announcements to the news ticker. The only thing my news ticker is showing right now is the default news ticker promos, but I want to add my own information. Did I mess something up? How can I get to the app settings for my news ticker? I just want to add my own information to this news ticker.

I have done a test in my environment and followed the steps in the video. However, I cannot reproduce your issue, everything works fine and "app settings" display normally. Make sure if you have followed right steps to set up News Ticker.

For narrowing down your issue, please try below things(remember to test and compare the results after each step):
