Hi,

We have a winforms application in VS2005 and .net framework 2.0.

Now we want to globalize this application for Japanese and French. The default is English.

There are two requirements for it -
1. Globalization of application

2. Globalization of user entered data. In our app, user created templates in one locale should be made available to other user in different locale. Currently we save the template in DB. How do we externalize strings from this template object for different locale or there is better approach for it.

How in general are the best ways to globalize and localize application and user data winforms application?

We are planning to move our application to VS2008 and .net 3.5 before this activity, are there any considerations to be made for it w.r.t globalization. I hope nothing will break due to this.
