According to MSDN, if i need to use any of the FileExtd.lib extension on XP,
i would need to install the latest WinSDK (6.1a) and link with FileExtd.h and fileextd.lib.

But when my program runs, it still complaining about missing function in kernel32.lib (eg SetFileInformationByHandle()). Did i missed something ? (sorry i never use WinSDK before)

1.       Are you using the latest Windows SDK, the Windows SDK for Windows Server 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5 (you mentioned v 6.1a, but there is no version v6.1a.  There is Windows SDK v6.0a, which installs with Visual Studio 2008, or v6.1, which is the Windows SDK for Windows Server 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5 ).
