Hi,

Usually we get a pop-up window when opening a Word or Excel file from SharePoint. But When I click a document/excel file, I am not getting pop up message.This issue is only for one user. I did compare the browser settings, everything is matched to other computer.

Does any one know what could be the reason for such a weird behavior?

It is so strange for your issue. Just happens on yourself and others can receive the pop-up.

Are you using the same browser with other machine? Are you access the same website? Can you receive this "pop-up" window before?  

转到Internet选项>安全>受信任的站点，然后单击将所有区域重置为默认级别".同时转到Internet选项>安全>本地Intranet，然后单击此选项.然后检查是否可以收到此弹出窗口.

Go to Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites, and click "Reset all zones to default level". Also go to Internet Options > Security > Local intranet and click this option. Then check if you can receive this pop-up.

清理浏览器的缓存和Cookie，然后进行测试.

Clean your browser Cache and Cookies, then have a test.

如果上述方法不起作用，请转至Internet选项>.进阶>点击重置"在重置IE设置"中部分.点击删除个人设置"和重置".

If above does not work, go to Internet Options > Advanced > click "Reset" in the "Reset IE settings" section. Click "Delete personal settings" and "reset".
