After quite a lot of work, trial and error all now seem to work and look well, except that there is a white space on the right side of the masthead which seems difficult to get rid of. Since this is just a minor issue, I do not not want to experiment too much to get this right. ..I have made a masthead gif image 620px x 80. Masthead size: 620 x 120. Overflow: hidden.
