 I am trying to change the contact information provided at the bottom of each page where it says "for more information contact" and then there is a link to a user. I may be having a dumb moment, but I can't figure out how to do it! Thanks!

i assume you are talking about the links in the footer of sharepoint portal pages , correct me please if i am wrong,

these links exist in the master pages . the footer and the header exist in the SharePoint master pages , for editing this links open the master page using sharepoint  designer.
