I have developped a windows service under Vista business. Then register it on my machine and test that it start properly. Then I change teh name of my service and recompile my service without changing the name of the exe file.

the mistake that I have made is that I forgot to uninstall the previous service before installing the new one. So now I ma in a situation that I have a garbage service that I cannot removed anymore.

Is there a manuall way to remove that service ?

You should be able to manually remove the service details from HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ and then delete any other files/registry keys related to the service.
