Hi all, first time posting a question here let me know if I need to do something differently.

We are  implementing sharepoint as a cms/publishing platform and I was wondering, I notice when logged in as a content editor, whenever I click an item from the front end to display detail view (e.g. a news article from a carousel etc), sharepoint automatically opens the page in checked out mode, forcing me to discard or check in the page.

这似乎是违反直觉的-我本来希望打开未签出的详细信息页面，并且如果我想编辑该页面，请转到设置/编辑页面将其签出.

This seems anti-intuitive - I would have expected to open the detail page not checked out, and if I wanted to edit the page I check it out by going to settings / edit page.

We've been told this is sharepoint behaviour. Is that correct? Any help would be appreciated....

1. Which library does you open the page? Do you open the pages in default Pages library?

2. If it’s a custom pages library, whether there are some workflows or event receiver or custom code to be triggered when users open the page?

3. Does this issue occurred in another libraries? You can create a new library to check again.
