I have configured search service application which is running on three servers. i want to start and stop search service on servers so i tried to run following command on first server:

When i check Services on Server it show "Error Stopping" on search. I tried to reboot server but same problem.

Per my test in my SharePoint 2013 environment, I run the PowerShell command "Stop-SPServiceInstance -identity guid". I also receive the "Error stopping" of "SharePoint server search" service in services on server.

To troubleshoot the issue, I delete the search service application in manage service applications.
