I have a relatively new install of Visual Studio 2015. I've been working on a solution that was originally created in 2012, then migrated to the new version.

It happens non-stop. I'm able to hit escape, & if I'm lucky I'll be able to go back to coding for a short time before it pops up again. If I'm not lucky, it'll pop up 4 or 5 more times immediately afterwards. It's one of the more frustrating quirks I've encountered, and I can't find a way to disable whatever "feature" is causing this.

I've not seen any other reference to this happening, so I'm assuming it's a problem with the solution or the install itself? I may try reinstalling first, but most likely I'll just drop back to 2012 which was working fine.

Please create a new blank solution which contains the same type of projects. Whether it has the same problem? If the new solution has the same problem, please try with following steps to troubleshoot this problem.
1.Open with safe mode with "devenv /SafeMode" command to isolate other third software and packages.
2.If your solution is connect to source control, please update your solution to the newest version.
3.If you assume it caused by installation, please try to repair with Control Panel -> Visual Studio 2015 -> Right-Click -> Repair

If new solution doesn't have this problem. It may be caused by upgrade. Between VS2012 and VS2015, there has a VS 2013. Please don't upgrade from VS2012 to VS2015 directly. You can upgarde to VS2013 and then upgrade 2015. You also can create a new blank solution and add all files in originally solution with "Add Existing Items…" one by one.
