Can you please help me that i cannot able to build and debug my solution in vs2012 ?

when i do any action like right click on solution->clean .....it is not showing any status like "clean successful" or anything in the status bar of vs2012 and disable all the options like build ,rebuild etc and i have waited for sometime......still no change , no status.

when i close the solution it gives a message like "the build must be stopped before the solution can be closed".
