I don't know and have never used that capability. This link Documenting Your Code with XML (Visual Basic) with Visual Studio 2015 selected from the dropdown says "The XML file can be consumed or otherwise manipulated as XML. This file is located in the same directory as the output .exe or .dll file of your project.". Although I'm probably missing something about it or maybe this isn't what you mean.
