So hopefully someone can help me out in a strange issue I am having. I have an API which I have developed and is hosted on 2 Azure servers, one a mirror of the other. Both have exactly the same code. The Live API is consuming though 750MB as soon as it starts and receives the first request, whilst the mirror using the same code and request consumes 100MB. Both have the same settings and in fact on the live I just now copied and pasted all the mirror code to ensure both have the same. Remove all application insights inside Live and also used the same web.config on the live as the mirror. The difference between servers is that the one of the live is a Large server due to this issue I am having whilst the mirror is on a small instance.

I got a memory and application log for the live but cannot get tails of it. I am also waiting to be contacted by Azure since I sent them the logs but would like to see whether anyone encountered the same issue. The only difference is that the live has a staging app used as staging environment whilst mirror does not.

Just to clarify, when you say, "I have an API which I have developed and is hosted on 2 Azure servers", have you hosted the websites/webapps on Azure VMs (IAAS solution) or on Azure App Service WebApps (PAAS offering)?

When you create a Cloud Service, Azure assigns it to a subdomain of cloudapp.net. Whereas Azure WebApps, assigns a subdomain of azurewebsites.net. Could you confirm if you have hosted your app on Azure Cloud Service or Azure WebApps?
