I have an old Windows 2003 server that runs a Half Life gaming server that quite a few of us still use.  Thing is I run in on a Windows 10 PC with VMware Workstation and to be honest it runs fine.

If you are migrating a VMWare environment, Azure migrate and Azure site recovery can help. In this case we are looking at migrating a server.
