Appreciate that you might found this question has been answered many times, however just to let you know I have been through it and it does not work for me due to system restrictions, hence I would really appreciate your help here.

I intended to create an auto generate ID sorting system in my custom list, I am the sub-site admin of my own SharePoint (ver. 2013), however note that I do not have access to SharePoint designer or creating workflow due to company policy restriction.

I've tried to create it via the calculated columns method however it doesnt work as well.

The ID does not need to be available/live when I create a new entry, but it should be showing in my list after I save/publish my entry.

The intended format for my ID would be "MID0001...002...003" and so on.

Grateful if anyone could suggest an alternative workaround given that I couldn't use Workflow in my SharePoint.
