I seem to have a lot of white space to the right of my SPO intranet home page info and some users have a scroll bar appear at the bottom of their screen which I would like to get rid of. Do you know how I can reduce this?

Is there any content editor web part or tried to add some contents by editing the page ? if yes you need to select the content area by dragging the mouse or down arrow key. Now you will see the selected empty space will appear in blue color and then just delete and save the page.
