The infrastructure team in my company is upgrading from SSL to TLS 1.2. That being said most of our web applications are .Net framework 3.5  and below which used SQL 2008.

After the TLS 1.2 upgrade none of the applications are working. Is .net 3.5 not compatible with .net 3.5 and below ?

Anything .NET4.0 or below does not support TLS1.2, you either have to upgrade the runtime version or to move back to TLS 1.0.
