In LS2012, I try to add an OData service from CRM 2011, but I get the dreaded "This service does not appear to have a valid $metadata document" because I have an entity that shares the same name as one of its properties. I can't rename the property or otherwise fix this issue in CRM, so my question is: is there a way to generate a csdl file (or equivalent), remove the offending entity, and then use it to add the OData service to my LS project? I know I can do this with WCF, but I can't seem to get it to work with OData. Not sure if this is possible, but any help would be appreciated.

I have heard that connecting the CRM 2011 OData service may work partially in VS2013 RC but I am yet to try this myself. The experience is lacking in some aspects (today) but looks likely to improve over the next 12 months).
