I have a project that was done with Visual Studio 2012 but when I try to open the solution file in a separate computer running Visual Studio 2010 or which donot have VB installed on it , it shows as "incompatible". Likewise, when I try to run the executable, a message pops up asking to install .Net 4.5. 

Can anyone tell me if there are other changes that need to be made to any of the files so that this project can open and execute on any other system which donot have Visual Studio installed on it.

Hi,

You have developed a project using Visual Studio 2012 which by default gets created with .Net framework 4.5. Visual Studio 2010 does not support .Net Framework 4.5 but it support .Net framework from 2.0 to 4.0.

You are not able to run .exe on other computer because there is no .net 4.5, you need to create setup which includes .Net 4.5 to run it on other computer.
