Hi Iffi,

Is it slow when there are multiple users or when there is only 1 user on the system?

There can be dozens of causes for slow performance. First thing I would check are the db files excluded from anti-virus scanning.

I would then use Fiddler to record the network traffic and response times when browsing a folder. This will tell whether performance is negatively affected by network, authentication, server-side (i.e. SP or SQL), ..

The capture Fiddler logs for more complex requests (e.g. upload small document, download small document, ..).

Based on these initial findings focus on the "component" that is slow.
