However, now it seems like after these values have been blanked, the control requires another 'resolve' action for it to register it as being completely empty, otherwise I get an error on Submit - "no exact match found". The only way of doing a 'resolve' action is by clicking on the form control icon in the UI itself. I don't see any way of using a rule to accomplish this.
