We have SharePoint farm 2013 on-premises, and we use to have two zones inside our alternative access mapping named as:-

- http://www.oursharepoint.intra (zone type = Internet)

- https://www.oursharepoint.intra (zone type = Custom)

here is the related urls inside the Alternative Access mapping:-

now our custom asked us to change the urls from http://www.oursharepoint.intra & https://www.oursharepoint.intra To http://www.Mainsharepoint.intra & https://www.Mainsharepoint.intra. so our system admins have defined the new urls inside the DNS server, then i went to the above urls inside the Alternative access mapping and i chnage them accordingly.

but when i try to access the new urls which are (http://www.Mainsharepoint.intra & https://www.Mainsharepoint.intra), i got this :-

1. i was prompted to enter username/password for 3 times.

2. After that, i was redirected to a blank white page (without showing any exception.)

now usually when i access the old urls i will be prompted to enter the username/password for one time, then i can access the sites. so can anyone adivce why i got the above problem?

i did an IIS reset but did not chnage anything.. so is there a timer job or a power-shell command i need to run to be able to access the new urls??

Hi johnjohn,

You can try below things for narrowing down your issue:

1. Make sure if you have an Alternate Access Mapping for the Web Application with the FQDN in it. Also make sure if the IIS Site binding exists for that AAM.

2. Try adding site bindinging in IIS for new URL.

3. Clear your browser cache and restart your browser. Also try to clear your cache in Credential Manager

4. Add the new AAM to Trusted Sites, also select the "Automatic logon with current user name and password" option under User Authentication section in the Trusted Sites Security Settings.
