Hi Kieran- I assume you have the publishing feature activated on your site. That feature creates its own OOTB stuff, and you probably have something named the same (even if you don't see it). I suggest opening the site in SP Designer and look at all the lists, libraries, pages and content types to see if something is named the same. You can then either change the name of it, or the page you're creating, or delete it.
