I currently have a SQL server on North Europe. All of my other stuff is in West Europe so i want to move it.

I learned that i have to remove the server and create it again to sort that.  So far, so good.

Currently i have allot of SSIS packages with the Server name in it, (for example: d3nnisd.database.windows.net). My question is: IF i delete the current SQL server, how long does the adress: d3nnisd.database.windows.net stay occupied? Can i instantly recreate a server with the same name and get the same adres?

If you are referring to an Azure SQL DB, the DNS should be updated amost instantly.

If not, than the DNS should be managed by you, and you can update the record whenever you would like. It might be necessary to flush the DNS on any computers after the switch.
