I create a sl media play for LS. Works fine. Just a raw SL control, no LS extention.

But if you set the screen controls to readonly, everything on the control goes !Enabled. Like the play button is also disabled which is not what I want. So how to allow SL controls to be set readonly, but not disable all the controls contained in sl control?

I don't think that this will be possible without breaking out new properties for each of the controls you want to be read only on the SL.  When you say you created a sl media player for ls did you actually create a new sl usercontrol with a sl media player in it to use in LS or did you add a custom control in LS of the sl media player?
