After scouring the internet for awhile, I may be the only one experiencing this, so here goes:

Whenever I change a single line in a XAML file; VS will take alot (and I mean like almost a minute) of CPU time at 50% on a dual core, to do something. It''s really annoying as it slows down the system.

This happens if I open a new project and create the default xaml form.

Is there a setting or something that I''m missing? My laptop gets so incredibly hot that I almost can''t use it when working in xaml. Working in code with no xaml windows seems to be ok.

Just did a clean install on the laptop in windows 7.

The best way I can describe it is like editing a huge VB project when you change something, it''s completely recompiling the project and just bogging down the system.

I do like the idea of an excuse to pick up a new laptop.

My concern is that I don''t have these types of issues in huge 2.0 C# projects, but a three file wpf 3.5 project brings the computer to a grinding halt?
