I am into android for a while and I got a project Real Time Emergency Service Personel Locator .

The objective is to develop a system which will allow locating pre-registered emergency personnel in the vicinity of a particular location. The emergency personnel will be carrying Global Positioning System (GPS) enabled Android devices.

It must have:
i] To allow Emergency service personnel to register themselves in the system. Once registered,the system will track the GPS position of such personnel.

ii] To allow "Users/Requester" to register themselves in the system. The users should be able to request for information on Emergency service personnel available in the vicinity.

iii] The system should take into consideration of GPS coordinate of the Requester and determine the list of nearest Emergency service personnel and intimate the identified Emergency service personnel of the user/requester details.

iv] The system should allow multiple types of Emergency service personnel to be registered as well as requested.


How should a Real Time project is diffrent from usual android project and can you please suggest the approach for the project?
