SharePoint 2016. People picker on a custom list. I can change the display of the people picker from Name or Name with presence to ID or username but many of the entries show as blank. Why? I've noticed the exact same behavior. For example when I switched the PeoplePicker 'Show Field' value from 'Name (with Presence)' to 'User Name', I noticed one of the user's (in a 2 user list) username did not appear. I then switched the PeoplePicker 'Show Field' value to 'Name (with presence and details)' from 'User Name' and noticed all the details displayed correctly for both users. After this, I switched it back to 'User Name' and was able to see the User Name value for both users.
