On a SharePoint site we have a list that has an alert associated to sent to a Distribution Group.

The Distribution Group has other Distribution Groups within it.

We have an issue where some users are getting alerts, where as some others aren't.  There doesn't seem to be any pattern to this.

Does anyone know why this may be happening and how to fix it?  Is there a limit to the number of recipients?  Or do nest Distribution Groups not work with alerts?

Can you please check both distributed group has email  Id ? and email enabled on your exchange? This could happen if any of the nested group don't email id, it wont' sent email to all the users.
