Visual studio shows dialog "Downloading public symbols - mscorlib.dll". But nothing happens then, and mscorlib can't be debugged.

Could you please provide us with more information on this issue?
1. what the version of your Visual Studio, and what kind of application are you debugging?
2. what do you mean by saying "mscorlib can't be debugged"? do you want to debug the .NET Base Classes?
3. could you print the information shown in the  Symbol Load Information dialog box when debugging?
