I am at my wits end trying to add a menuitem ti the context menu on an 'Execute SQL task' control flow item.
Does any one have any ideas?
I have an add-in that is almost done and I need the ability to open the stored procedure that is called by the task in SSMS.
I have all the code done for opening the procedure for edit and checking it out of TFS, now I just need to add the context menu option.

I am afraid that you can't add your menu into SSIS menu, which is not supported.

Visual Studio supports to add menu command into predefined menus by IDE, which is described at: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc826118.aspx

As you see, the list only includes common menus in the main menu strip. However, the context menu on the SSIS control flow designer is defined by Business Intelligence Visual Studio intergration package. Its menu ids are private.

In addition, I don't find any public automation object or interface from Business Intelligence Visual Studio intergration package.

It seems that put the command to the main menu strip or toolbar is the correct way. Thanks.
