Hi;

Is there any chance you will update the bootstrapper to install SP2 of Sql Server Express? We want this in the bootstrapper because that is the one approach where the install is only download if needed. All other approaches require us to bundle the Sql Server install inside our installer - doubling its size.

Using the present bootstrapper, when installing on Vista, a user is then told during the install that they need to download and install SP2. Vista has almost no market share and so this is not a big issue. But if Windows 7 is successful, and has the same issue, then we have a major problem.

I am not sure I understanding the problem correctly. Do you mean you want create a prerequisite for Sql Server Express SP2? If so, I think the following article would help.

Also, Visual Studio 2008 already has the prerequisite for Sql Server Express SP2. Let me know if this helps, if not, could you please show us more detailed information?
