I'm trying to get to grips with the entity framework using VS 2008 SP1 on a 64-bit vista based PC. When I open and EDMX file with the Entity designer I get a window that pops up in the top left hand corner of my VS 2008 desktop that has its top stuck under the tool bat and menu bar and inists on sitting on top of every other window I open.

When I close the edmx file that I'm editting the box just sits there and refuses to close (It now has  a message reading 'Select an enity or association on the entity Designer to edit its mappings' sruck in the middle of it).

Restarting VS2008 doesn't help - the box just reappears. The only way to get rid of it is to close all other windows and select 'Reset Window Layout' from the Window menu.

Anyone know how to get this dialog box in the right place on the desktop and how to get it to close?
