I have a DataSetbound to several Windows Forms controls.

Only controls (ComboBoxes in my case) which have been selected by the user update the DataSet table. By the nature of my application the user may not select one of the comboboxes, as the initially displayed option may be the one that the user requires, so there is no need for them to select it.

How can I ensure that a value is passed to seach field of the DataSet please?
