Hi there,
I'm having an issue with Visual Studio 2008 Professional (SP1) hanging when I try and create a SilverLight application.

The hang appears to happen when adding the associated asp.net web site (rather than the SilverLight app itself).

I started by uninstalling all SilverLight bits and then installing Blend 2.5 Preview followed by "Microsoft Silverlight Tools Beta 2 for Visual Studio 2008"

I can still create a Silverlight project in Blend and then edit it happily in VS, but if you then try to add a web project to the solution, VS hangs as above.

For the record the cpu activity is almost non-existant on the devenv.exe process, so I guess this is an 'idle hang' ?

Follow up - VS is also hanging during the 2005/2008 conversion wizard. No error message when you close via Task Manager this time but otherwise same problem (and no Silverlight elements this time).
Any clues?
