I'm trying to set up my VM to automatically login when started or rebooted.  The setup usually works on my local computer or on a dedicated server but not with Azure.  I've tried the following methods:

1. Unchecking ""Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" after going to "control.exe userpasswords2" / netplwiz on Run.

Is there something else we need to do to get this working on Azure? Alternatively is there a runbook or other method to automatically login when a VM is started?

This isnt something you are able to achieve in Azure. Once logged on you can make it so the server remain in logged in mode although I would not suggest that as it is a security risk.
