I recently made a change to an existing program written in vb.net 2010 express.
That program builds and executes on the local machine (Windows 7), but when I attempt to install it into another (XP) machine I get the following error message.

"The application requires that Assembly MySQL.data.Entity Version 6.4.5.0 be installed in the Global assembly Cache (GAC) first."

Not that I am aware of.

I believe I just got it working.

I un-installed the Mysql connector, and my apps using the control panel, remove program.

I the downloaded a new copy of the install file for mysql connector v6.5.4.

I rebuilt the VB App, and it installed and worked.

The only thing I did different was to save the download and execute it from my system, instead of running it from the internet.
