In VS 2010 Express, when I add a new database connection using Database Explorer, the database is being put into 'suspect mode'.

1. Create a database, with tables, using Sql Server Mgmt Console (SSMS)

2.在VS中打开新的解决方案/项目

2. Open new solution/project in VS

3. Using Database Explorer, add new connection to the new database. Test connection reports 'succeeded'. From the Database Explorer I can see the database & tables - so all is good.

4. Using SSMS, the new database is now shown without the + sign & I cannot see the tables. Attempts to access the database with SSMS result in Error 3707 which says the database is in 'suspect' mode.

5. If I delete the database and restore from backup then both SSMS and VS 2010 are happy.
