I wanted to fix some permission issues on our SharePoint site and ran into the Stop Inheritance Button and Delete Unique Permission Button being disable. It's not every site, but majority of it. I have Sharepoint Admin control, so my own permission level is not an issues. We are using a custom branding template and I did discover with some test, when sites are created with the custom template the buttons are disabled. When sites are created using the default SharePoint templates everything works as normal. However I am still not 100% sure if this is the cause of the disable controls. Has anyone come across this issues? If it is the templates, are there ways to enable the controls again?
