I have logged into Azure using my company's office365 ID. I have signed up for free subscription.

There is no restriction on number of subscription one login ID/user can have. Based on the symptoms you describe e.g. not able to view or create resource groups, it seems your login ID/account does not have the appropriate administrator/owner permissions to your company's subscription . Can you confirm if you are a co-administrator or owner on the company subscription? You may need to contact the Administrator on the company subscription to grant you the appropriate permissions.
