I have built a fairly simply workflow in designer 2010

Find manager of User Profiles: Manager (output to Variable: Manager)

Then Set Manager name to Varibable: Manage

with the hope of finding the manager of the person who has logged a ticket. the unusual issue I am experiencing is it is working fine but is finding the manager 1 level up in the organisation, finding the manager's Manager. (Person logging the ticket > Their manager > Manager's Manager)
