So I am trying to manage and administrate a wiki site. It is an industry specific wiki, and some of the information that needs to be on it is already on wikipedia and needs to be transfered to our wiki (with credit to wikipedia and all resources still listed, of course). Problem is, this is no easy task as there are a lot of pages related to our industry which need to be imported.

What I want to do is create a fairly simple program, where I can do something along these lines... --> I have my application open while im on the web, and I want to be able to have the web page show up in a list, which could have something like check boxes next to it, and after I get a list of potential pages, I can select or de select the ones I want via checkboxes, and then click a button and have each page imported into my wiki, and using keywords, get rid of all wikipedia page links except for the ones that match certain keywords I input, or better yet, remove all links except for links that refer to all the other pages that I grabbed.

Im not really sure where to start on this or how to get it interfacing with an external web browser. Any pointers to at least get me going in the right direction?

Why would you want to duplicate Wikipedia?

You don't want to copy Wiki articles.  You want to reference them.  If you create a snapshot, you lose all future edits.  If you reference them, you get them.
