I am trying to figure out the volume of foam insulation that is covering a cone with a surface area of 417 square feet, and a volume of 565 cubic feet.  The insulation is 6 inches thick.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

I think you shoulc calculate the volume of the insulation-cone(treat it like a cone) and then substract the volume of the inner cone.

But you need more than the surface area and the volume to do that. You need the heigt or the radius of the base of the cone. Or the slant height, so you can get the radius that way.
