Hi,

We are installing Sharepoint 2016 in 3tier model. WEB server with IIS running as frontend and APP server running in backend.

I have a question regarding the installation. First we install Sharepoint on the application server and create a new farm, then we install Sharepoint on WEB server and add it to existing farm.

It is unclear for me how we should configure the Sharepoint so new sites are created on IIS running on WEB server not on the IIS running on APP server (we want the backaund to run only the central administartion website) ;>how to configure sharepoint so it will differ the frontend and backend part of our setup

The web applications are hosted in web front-end Server.

Stop the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Web Application service on the application server. The "Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Web Application" service provides web server functionality. We need to start this service on all web servers in a farm, and stop this service on application servers. If the service is started on the server, this server is acting as a web front-end server.

Only start Central Administration service on application server. This service runs the SharePoint Central Administration website.
