i have three items in a drop down list.

The values are ''Confirmed'', ''Extended'' and ''Not-Confirmed''.

Currently this drop down list is enabled all the time.

I want it to be disabled until the user clicks an Edit button, in which case it will be enabled.

Can anyone help me with the design/code for this?
