Hi All,<o:p></o:p>

I’m trying to open wiki page (part of a promoted links list) as a pop up window.

Promoted links has an option to select "Open in Dialog".
Unfortunately I only get the following error message "Sorry something went wrong" even though the link works fine.<o:p></o:p>

Has anybody had a similar problem and knows an easy fix?<o:p></o:p>

I have done a test and I can reproduce your issue.

I set the behavior to Dialog for a wiki page in the Promoted Links list. When I try to open the page in the dialog by clicking the link, the error message displays. I get the same results as you get.

Per my research, wiki pages cannot be open in the dialog in SharePoint 2013. It is by design.

As a workaround, we can link to a web part page or a publishing page. The web part page and the publishing page can be opened in the dialog from the promoted links list.
