I am attempting to perform a custom action to append the title field when a form is submitted, and have it working now, but for some reason if I use the & operator instead of the +, it results in an error.

Does anyone know why an ampersand isn't being interpreted as an operator, or if perhaps it is not valid in this syntax? I made this formula using another example I found online.

Per my test, '&' is not a valid operator char in InfoPath formula.

Do you want to append Title to a field? You can use concat function to do that.
